Biography
Joshua "Jstylez" Garcia was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He began their dance journey at age 7 with the National Dance Institute, performing in Shanghai, China. This early exposure to the professional dance world sparked a passion that continues to drive their career today.
Josh won a coveted spot in the Business of Dance program with Menina Fortunato, where he continues to develop his skills as a dance professional. Additionally, his inspiring life story and dance journey will soon be featured in Inside Dance magazine, showcasing his growth and dedication to the art form from childhood to today.
They’ve since trained at top studios like Broadway Dance Center, KR3TS, Steps on Broadway, Brickhouse NYC, and Ripley Grier Studios, working with renowned choreographers such as Celine “BOOM” Edmondson, Jose Ramos, Johnathan Lee, Charles Edward Smith Jr., and Yancy Green.
Their performance credits include dancing at the historic Alvin Ailey Theater, music videos for Lil Mama and Andrew Kinnecom, and performing at the Puerto Rican Day Festival with Violeta Galagarza. They’ve also collaborated on dance visuals with Q Pittman at Broadway Dance Center and worked closely with choreographer Amy Mitchell.
Their choreography has appeared on The Anderson Cooper Show and in the marketing campaign for Step Up 3D, alongside projects for MTV, VH1, Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network, The NatGeo Channel, Billboard magazine, TBS, Nickelodeon, Coca-Cola, and TruTV.

Trained in a wide range of styles, including hip-hop, contemporary, and street jazz, Joshua Garcia has studied at renowned studios such as KR3TS, Steps on Broadway, and Ripley Grier. Under the guidance of prominent choreographers like Jose Ramos aka “Ayhollywood”, Joshua Garcia has developed a unique blend of technique and creativity. Josh Garcia was born with a passion for movement, stepping into the dance world at the age of 7 through the National Dance Institute (NDI).
This early exposure to the art form provided Joshua Garcia with invaluable opportunities, including a remarkable performance in Shanghai, China. These formative experiences laid the foundation for their professional journey in dance. Now, as Joshua Garcia trains rigorously at top institutions like Broadway Dance Center, KR3TS, Steps on Broadway, and Ripley Grier Studios, they are focused on becoming a professional dancer and making a name for themselves in the commercial dance industry.
Under the influence of leading choreographers like Jose Ramos, aka “Ayhollywood”, who has worked with stars such as Beyoncé, Lil Mama, Rihanna, Ciara, and Jennifer Lopez (JLo), Johnathan Lee, and Charles Edward Smith Jr., aka “KingChuckaDuck,” Joshua Garcia is continually refining their craft and expanding their impact. Their journey has led to numerous high-profile opportunities, from shooting a music video with Lil Mama to performing at the Puerto Rican Day Festival and Parade with Violeta Galagarza. Josh Garcia has also contributed to dance visuals with Q Pittman at Broadway Dance Center.
